Varsity Boys Undefeated

The Crown Varsity Boy's Tennis Team went undefeated for the first time since its inception in 2006. The boy's team, led by Coach Bill Queen (New to Crown Athletics), had 7 strong team members this season: Austin Downey, Jordan Downey, Jackson Henry, Richard Henry, Eric Lewis, Tim Tanko, & David Stone. They faced many tough opponents and came up successful each time. Four of the guys went undefeated individually. They are: Tim Tanko, Richard Henry, Jackson Henry, and our lone senior Jordan Downey. We are so proud of all they accomplished this season. Congratulations Boys!

Girl's Varsity Winning Season

The Crown Varsity Girl's Tennis Team is tops. They went 7 -2 for the spring season only losing to one tough opponent, Heritage of Gainesville. This awesome team, led by Coach Traci Downey, had 7 fighters that took the courts each week: Chelsea Breaden, Sara Buice, Rebekah Childers, Heather Hartle, Korie Honaker, Jen Morgan, and Anna Woods. Two of our girls are seniors, Korie Honaker and Anna Woods, and will be leaving us. We will miss them very much. Congratulations for a wonderful season!

Middle School Boys Take 1st Place

The Crown Middle School Boys Tennis Team takes 1st place at the NAML A Tennis Championship. Coach Pete Wilson joined the Crown coaching staff this spring, as head coach of the middle school tennis teams. Pete worked with the 7 member boys team this season, bringing them to a victorious 1st place position in their league. Congratulations to Coach Wilson and the following team members: Caleb Wilson, Tim Goodbread, Zach Fossier, Kevin Simmons, Brady Bradshaw, Josh Sutter, Harrison Cloud, Ben Paulk

Tennyson Mosher coached our middle school girls tennis team to a 4th place position in the NAML A Championship, with only 4 team members present. Tennyson, a Senior at Home School University, assisted Coach Wilson this season as a student trainer, working directly with the girls team.

Congratulations to Tennyson and the following team members for a job well done: Elizabeth and Emily Hanson, Elizabeth Eaton, Lauren Holcomb, Brooke McMahan, Krista Good, Emma Norman

Knights Tennis season off to a great start!

After the rain passed on Tuesday, March 4, it turned out to be a great day for tennis! Despite windy conditions, the Knights high school team came out on top against North Cobb Christian in their season-opener.

The boys won 3 out of 5 matches with a combined team score of 36-30. The girls won 3 out of 4 matches with a combined team score of 40-28. Props go out to Rebekah Childers for a nail-biter win.

Way to go, Knights! Please check out our schedule and come out and support Crown Athletics tennis this season!
