KNIGHTS SWIM TEAM OFF TO GREAT START!!

The Crown Knights had their first swim meet on Wednesday, November 14, at Riverside Military Academy. In an unbelievable finish, BOTH the JV GIRLS and JV BOYS relay teams took first place and BROKE GISA STATE RECORDS! The girls finished 1:56.48 and broke a record held since 1997. The boys finished 1:50.64 breaking a 2004 record for the Georgia Independent School Association. The Knights faced stiff competition from well-known schools such as Dominion High School, North Cobb Christian, Mt. Vernon Preparatory, Riverside Military Academy and several others. Many of our team members also set personal bests.

It was an exciting day, and a big shout-out goes to Coach Michelle Rutledge and all the Knights including relay team members Libby Anderson, Carissa Bell, Hannah Clark and Alli Crenshaw for the girls and Jackson Burdette, Gabe Downey, Doug Ibarra and Russell Kaeser for the boys. GO KNIGHTS!

Details:
Practices are held on Mon., Wed., and Thurs. 7:00-8:00 a.m. (subject to change) at the Eagle Watch Pool in Towne Lake. We will participate in the GISA conference. Our team will most likely be competing as “exhibition only,” this year, however, this will allow our athletes to compete against other private schools such as North Cobb Christian, August Prep, Stratford, Dominion Christian, Riverside Military, etc., and experience true high school swimming. We will maintain our own team and individual records as part of Crown Athletics.

Swim meets are held on Wednesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays during the months November, December and January. We will likely attend 1-2 meets per month. Meets will be determined sometime in October. For more information, please contact Michelle Rutledge. Home: 770-516-8686 Cell: 404-445-7323
